Wouldn't it be a cool project to take an old barn, like these (3 itty bitty pictures above) I found on The Barn Pages and turn it into a home with high ceilings, old beams and whatever else you could dream up? I love the pictures on The Barn People, and Heritage Barns, too. 
Might as well add a pool while you're at it...

That last photo is so beautiful. I could live there and just right into that pool.
I have always wanted to take an old barn and remodel it into a home. Your post rekindles the old urge.
