I keep this blog for a few reasons, mostly to journal things I want to remember and to visually document the goings on in my life. But I also like to share my finds and my thoughts with others. I don't get a lot of comments back, and that's okay...but I would like to hear from some of the people I know read this blog and others that I don't know who pop in. So I changed my comment settings tonight to allow comments from anyone, even if you don't have a blog or a blogger account. I was so honored by all the kind and thoughtful comments The Norweigan left for me but don't know how to get in touch with you. I see cities pop up on Feedjit and I'd love to know who's been here and if you have a blog I can read as well. I know my Aunt Karen checks in here...who else? Janice? Barb? JScott? Jot a quick note and tell me who you kitties are and what you're up to!

Well, Hayley - here is a funny. I am an English teacher, in Springfield, Missouri and we read the same blog...Daisy Cottage and we know each other and I just found your blog through Kim's! Ha! I could hardly believe it. I will be a regular reader now. I hear such good things about you from my students who have been blessed to have you as a teacher. ~Kelly A. (Summer Institute - OWP)

I know I love it when people make comments as well so thanks for the comment you left today.

I know what you mean about the whole blog surfing thing, you can be on for hours. I finally had to give myself a limit.

Any cute quaint little streets lined with trees over where you live? I live in the desert so if my dream of opening a little shop happens, I may have to move somewhere else. Hey it doesn't hurt to start doing some of the leg work and research right now, right?:-)

Hayley - Forgive me not commenting earlier. I wasn't sure that I had anything to say. However, I check your blog every morning and thoroughly enjoy being connected to you in this way. Your porch swing post brought tears to my eyes. I miss him too! Keep posting. I love having this window into your life and the ability to watch Macauley grow up from so many miles away. Love you! Thanks all for chiming in! Hope to hear from you regularly. Aunt Karen--perhaps you should start your own blog? I'd at least like to see some pictures of your house so I could better visualize your life in Florida. Kelly--I tried to post a comment on your blog but I'm not sure it went through. And twin2trip, we do have some quaint little streets here in town and a few towns over...how do you feel about the Midwest?

Hi there! Just found you through Daisy Cottage (saw your comment) and saw that you are from Missouri. ME TOO! I live several hours north of you in St. Joseph, MO. We are in the northwest of the state by Kansas and Nebraska and Iowa :o) I am gonna add you to my bloglines subscription. I have two blogs. One is my mama blog and the other is Rusty Cottage...hope you will stop by :)

I found your blog through another Springfield Blog,Two crazy crafters. I am from south of Springfield, about 1hr 45min away. I love the ideas and decorating you do. I am also in the teaching profession. I am a preschool aide. I have also visited your booth in the STD mall, awesome I have to say! Thanks for having such an inspirational blog!

I'm not sure that I could keep up with a blog on my own, but it could be fun to have a family blog. We could all post a couple of times a month and keep up with each other better than we do now. Do you think we can get the others to participate?

Aunt Karen: That is a great idea for a family blog. It really is easy to post, so I think it would be worth a try. I could create it similar to the ones I use for my writing classes, where it's a private blog with invited users who can all post and comment. Maybe I will put that together when school is out.

Just thought I would pop back and check on spring break! Fun!?! I love it when people leave comments, too. It helps me feel connected with others.

Love your potato soup post! Those are memories you will treasure forever!. Your darling son reminds me so much of mine when he was younger. Now my David is making homemade goodies like cinnamon rolls away at college! (I have his photos on my blog.) Now look what you went and got yourself in to!

Happy weekend,
