Tomorrow is the last day of school. I can hardly believe it. The year seems to have flown by but the last couple of weeks always drag. I spent hours working on our annual publication of notable student and teacher writing and photography only to have it arrive from the publisher today with the spacing completely off, in a totally random and nonsensical way. Almost $500 for 60 copies. 141 pages I poured over until they were perfect. There is no way I am passing it out and I've been on the verge of tears all day today with the stress of it all. I've put in a message (email only--the website lists no phone number) to the site's support to discuss options but I haven't heard anything. I've just had to come to terms with it not being given to the writers published until next fall and I guess I'll figure something out. Uggg.
I just need to shake off that little speed bump and concentrate on getting into the swing of summer--lazy days, shopping, reading, road trips, more blogging (I've got 2 or 3 weeks of life I've been wanting to document), organizing, scrapbooking, sleeping in...After my 6 a.m. wakeup tomorrow I can put that little black alarm clock in my nighstand drawer for almost 3 months!

I know how you feel-
I used to have anxiety attacks reading through the yearbook when I finally had the printed issue.
There were always errors.
It will all work out-
summer heals everything!

Sorry to hear about that as I know that when we take the time to edit something, we went it to be "perfect" -- is the spacing so bad that one would understand it wasn't you, but the publishing company that messed up? There's hardly a published book or magazine that doesn't wind up on the stand without mistakes. My HSer is finished. The middleschooler finished Monday. And I finish on the 14th. Can't wait for the summer holiday -- 2 months of carefree days until I go back on the 14th of August. :) Have a beautiful day. Tammy
